Man, they're a damn good band. I read some stuff about them in Terrorizer about a month ago, really need to get my hands on their new album.

Hmm judging from your pic you'd fit in more with a fat busted tribute.

The old stuff reminds me of Nile quite a bit, but the newest one is in a league of its own in my opinion. Great band.
#5
I don't know what their original stuff is like, but I heard one of the songs on their myspace not too long ago but didn't know the name and have been trying to find it ever since.

Thank you.

And you're obviously here because you fancy Phill.
Phill is a very attractive guy...

"I'm so tempted to sig that, Phill" - Sig it then

Unless otherwise stated, assume everything I say is in my opinion.

Some Israeli metal mag' interviewed their vocalist a year or so ago, and they are apparently very anti-muslim.

That's all I know about these guys though...Will listen to them tomorrow maybe...
Dyer's Eve is awesome, and has an abnormally large penis, which doesn't act as any hinderance to his everyday life despite its freakishly large size.

Never listened to these guys till now, but now that I have I'm very happy I did. I'm digging the stuff from their new cd in particular I'm gonna have to pick that up.

Bump.

Trivmvirate is chock-full of endless win.

The White Crematorium was good, but this new one is leaps and bounds above it. God Damn.

I just heard Trivmvirate all the way through after listening to duncang's muxtape.

Like I've said before, this is just one epic slab of manliness. Takes you in, chews you for an hour and spits you out again.

Yea thats right, the song 'Desecration of the Black Stone' is about destroying some muslim holy monument or something along those lines.

I'm really liking the first album at the moment, i sort of moved back from the newest one to check it out, good stuff.

"We hate no group in particular, not in the least because we don't like to use word with less than three syllables, so in keeping with our faux-intellectual image, we abominate".

"Great, So who do you abominate?"

"We abominate extremists, we abominate bigots, we abominate hypocrites, we want to abominate people who want to tell other people how to behave and live by some book of virtue from a distant past. If someone were to force crossword puzzles with solely Stalinist words upon us, we'd abominate crossword puzzles. If someone started a political party to propogate the superiority of cucumbers and try to enforce their view by ways of violence and manipulating people's innate stupidity, we'd abominate cucumbers. Get the drift? All extremism is fundamentally insane and unsanitary, and deserves to be ridiculed and exposed for the vile filth that it tries to force upon others"

Apparently.

Trivmvirate is officially my album of 2008.

Not one second of filler material. Arse-kicking from start to finish.

I heard this band somewhere before though I can't place it. I have not heard the new album in any case. Doesn't really catch my attention for the most part. I do like Kindertodeslied though.

At least their fusion of techno elements with death metal didn't fail as bad as Avulsed did.

Damn, Wrath of the Baath is catchy.

I just got Trivmvirate as a late christmas present for myself, and it's easily one of the best albums of 2008.

You know I'm not a fan of death metal and the like. This is by far the best I've heard. Duly impressive. Apart from the epic Deus Ex Machina and Den Ensomme Nordens Dronning, the song Wrath of the Ba'ath is a viewpoint and a topic I have not heard in the music industry. The chanting of, "Al-Anfal! Al-Majid! Al-Anraat! Al-Hatra" gave me chills.

But Saddam Hussein as a subject? Could one interpret this song as a pro-war piece? They certainly spell out the horrors caused by him and his Ba'ath party.

This is not to say I'm pro-Iraq War or anti-Iraq War. I'm simply stating an observation I made.

Does that mean WW1 poetry is promoting war? Does that mean the thousands of WW2 films are promoting war? Does that mean Downfall is actually making out Hitler to have been right? Does that mean action films promote violence? Jesus, learn the value of detachment. They're just telling a story. You sound like a PMRC argument.

In other news, anyone seen the Lastfm biography of TMDC?

The Monolith Deathcult holds the conviction that death metal has reached a ceiling in terms of speed. It doesn’t really get any faster than Cryptopsy and any more brutal than Hate Eternal without flurrying away in one great big cacophony*). This is why The Monolith Deathcult has decided to broaden the genre by inserting previously ‘not done’ elements into the style, adding to the brutality and speed. The Monolith Deathcult realizes all too well that music is a form of entertainment, and that music is made not only for our own pleasure, but also for the audience. The audience wants to be entertained and wants to be captivated by what the band offers. The Monolith Deathcult makes music ‘for the masses’ without losing their identity by making easy-listening rock tunes.

The Monolith Deathcult doesn’t make artist-centred music and won’t gorge on technicalities only trained ears will hear and appreciate. If people want to see virtuoso techniques they can go out and rent a Steve Vai DVD.

Hm, I didn't know that. Monolith Deathcult for me are a great band, but one that I can only listen to when I'm really in the mood for them.

Hell yeah!

Trivmvirate is one of my favourite albums from last year, the music is amazing but I also love the themes of the songs, especially Kindertodeslied, about the Battle of Berlin, and Wrath of the Ba'ath.

Apparently (I read this in an interview) they're trying to create this arrogant, pretentious image with the statements on last.fm. They also got in a feud with this Nile guy, if I recall correctly. Don't see why they'd want this, but whatever floats their boat I suppose .

On a final not: I'm proud that this amazing band is from my home country (patriot mode ).
