To keep it as plain and as basic as I can get it,

I'm getting a new portable amp at like 5 watts to 20 or something. That part doesn't matter, except for the fact of, which would make a better portable amp, a Roland or Vox?

Opinions.

The Cube has better crunch and the Valvetronix has better clean. They each have a mix of both though. Its a matter of preference. I don't think either is better than the other. I like my vox though. Never tried the mini model.

I've played through a Microcube and I really have to say the cleans are no good. The Vox's crunch is passable though. The "UK '80s" setting is very good for a JCM tone imo. Its what I use the most.

So, I'm guessing I should just get Roland.

Still, moar opinions,

You should really try them both before deciding. I know everyone says that, but its especially true with amps.

Well, I saw a nicely priced Roland at like this Rubino's place down the street from Guitar Center.

It was a portable cube thing whatever, but it was Roland I know that.
