What would be the best way to play verses and choruses with only one guitar and one bass? Things like bass-lines, ways to play chords, etc. Styles are: Folk, Blues, Rock.

No offense, but you could not have asked a more vague question. You can do almost anything with one guitar and one bass.

agree with murderworship, hence my totally useless answer.

anyway, succes! : )
Just listen to bands to trio's (the experience, wolfmother, rhcp, led zep, the list goes on..) who use it and try to come up with your own thing.

That's what I wanted to know. If I should stick to power-chords, or not. Things like that.

So the answer to your question was seriously powerchords?

Actually if you try to make music with just a bass and a guitar playing power chords.... it's gonna suck.

i played bass in a 3 pc. and what i did was just try to fill the void when the guitar went in lead mode i would bang out the rhythm if it was a twin guitar song ,and if it were a blues type song i had a little more freedom to kinda do my own thing as long as it filled the void, and was relative to the melody and stuff.

Must if they break for me, better sounds come from the way you play more-so than the strings.
