As everyday, I was cleaning my ear with a q-tip when all of a sudden I heard a large crash from the other room (turned out to be my kitten) and jumped, pushing the q-tip pretty far into my ear. Now my hearing in my right ear is muffled. I"m kind of worried now. Anyone have anything like this happen to them? Is it serious enough to call someone about? Thanks. And yes, I do realize this is pretty retarded.

I sincerely hope you haven't damaged your ears. I'm not an expert on such things, so I can't really say. I'd guess that if you haven't had this problem go away after a few days, then a doctor may be a good idea.
#6
i remember a fairly famous doctor saying you should never stick anything smaller than your elbow in your ear.

clearly he was right.

you sound like Homer Simpson.

(whos guessing theres going to be sexual innuendo in this thread?)

I don't think it's a big deal, it's happened to me before and my hearing was better after like 10-12 hours.
But go see a doctor anyway.

The pit isn't a doctor, but we do make house calls. Go see a doctor though cause most of them aren't 13 year old kids.

Also, it's happened to me before, I didn't go to the doctors.
I worried it was Otitus Media, but it cleared after about 5 days.
Go the doctor just incase though.

If you bust an eardrum, you'd know about it, trust me. It hurts so bad. Liklihood is you pushed some wax deeper in.

Did you bust your eardrum?

How would you know it hurts so much ?

That's what I figured. Any easy ways of getting it back out without paying for the doctors? If not, that's fine, but I don't want to pay a visit unless I have to.

SURELY it must be anything smaller? I mean, obviously no one's going to get a Marshall stack in their ear or anything...

Yeah, I know it. I'm really fed up with it, but meh. I'm more concerned with my ear at the moment to be honest. Maybe after I get my hearing back I'll go make a change to the system.

Yup.

When I was younger I had wicked bad ear wax problems. It got so bad that they sent me to some specialist to suck the wax out with a rather large vacuum thing. The lady said she'd never seen that much wax in her life. It was uncomfortable though and I cried.
