i have a shallow bowl back electro acoustic and love the sound from it and its very comfertable to play stading and sitting cos you dont feel like your a mile away from the strigs like i feel with traditional acoustics.. i guess its all down to preferece though, just go into a guitar store and try a few out to see what youre comfertable with.

I'm no expert on acoustics, but generally I think the deeper the body the deeper and more bassy the tone is and also they're louder. Electro acoustics tend to be smaller and less deep than acoustics, as they're intended for amp use, but as for the actual shape, I'm not to sure on how the sound is affected.

Personally, I hate nylon strung guitars and would always choose a steel strung, but everyone has their prefrences. I'd have to agree and say you're best going into a shop and trying different guitars out for yourself.

He didn't ask about strings. He asked about the shape of bodies (Jumbo vs. OM vs. 000, etc).

Shape of body and string type do generally go hand in hand, so I just thought I would add that I don't play nylon's.

Not really. I've seen nylons on a travel body, steels on a parlor, etc. That part of construction rarely coincides with string type.
Sincerely, Chad.
