Epiphone doesn't reverse them. Gibson will reverse them.

Gibsons are hand made. Epi's aren't.

Gibsons are higher quality in specific areas.

Epi Les paul sound HORRIBLE

I hated les paul for years, until of course I played a Gibson one. The Epi's ruin it.

Some Epi are good and on a whole more value for money but Gibson are the **** basically

I await the Epiphone Reverse Explorer.

TS, are you looking to buy one or the other? Gisbons tend to be higher quality, but Epiphones are a better deal, IMO.

Gibsons are essentially high-end Epiphones with an overinflated price tag. Low-end Epiphones, however, are just low end. And low-end Gibsons are extremely overpriced.

no... and yeaaahh...

gibson uses higher quality woods and pickups... thats pretty much it.. except for the epi elitist which rival with low end and standart gibsons

i played both and didnt notice much of a difference at all. i think they both sound great

Mid-Priced/Higher end Epiphones are really nice for the price. The new prophecy series looks sexy and is really good. Ordering the SG EX one myself fairly soon. @Just17n8, the wood is a big deciding factor, but pickups really don't matter too much as you can just change them out.

you either have no ear for tone, or happened to play a crappy Epi - cuz I guarentee if I were to play a Gibson and an Epi you wouldn't tell the difference.

Atl, that's only recently. It's really rediculous. 2.5k-5k for a les paul is seriously crazy, considering we're not talking about collectables. Since Gibson is well Gibson they can get away with this.

I have an Epiphone Les Paul Standard. I payed $400 for it. It sounds close to, and plays better than any Gibson Les Paul I've ever played. I'll throw a pair of new pups in it, and have an amazing guitar. For the low end Gibsons, you're just paying for the name on the headstock.

usually lower grade wood, its a subsidiary so itslesser quality stuff, minus their semi-hollow and hollow bodies. Though the elitist models are on the same level id say
