anybody here kayak?
if so whats a good "beginner" kayak? whats a decent rise to pay for a kayak? and are lessons a good idea?

im thinking about getting into it. i need a new hobby and something a little different than my usual hobbies

I kayak, but I don't own one...I just drive to the local lake and they rent out the kayaks from the Marina....I prefer the yellow ones....lol

ocean or river? i got a sit-on-top kayak from a garage sale for 115 bucks. i only do ocean kayaking, though, because of proximity to the ocean.

i have access to both ocean and river... but where i live there isn't anywhere to get lessons or rent a kayak.
