How versatile is this guitar. I'm wondering as there is one for sale locally for $350 and was wondering if it was worth it.
Thx

go with an epiphone lp ultra or custom if you want versatility and that single cutaway body style... esps are geared for metal, not to say that you cant play anything else on them... but you may find better results with an epi

It's not amazingly versitile but it's amazing for high gain stuff becuase of the EMGs and also has very good cleans. On the other hand, I've never gotten a good classic rock or blues-rock tone out of one. It's kind of all-or-nothing gain wise.

the 400 has the JB and 59 morons. The 500 has EMGs. Great guitar. Go for it.

This man speaks the truth. And the 400's Tobacco Sunburst finish is sexy as hell.
