Indeed.

I wasn't aware it was St. George's day.

I'll do nothing, because I'm not a nationalistic, stupid cockwhore.
The will to neither strive nor cry,
The power to feel with others give.
Calm, calm me more; nor let me die
Before I have begun to live.

Speak for yourself.

In all seriousness though, I'll probably go out with the flatmates to the bar. I won't do anything special, but then I don't for any other event really.

Oh stop being such a ****ing cliche.

I am going down to the pub to have a few pints of real English ale with my friends. Sorry for celebrating England, the place where I live. Dont think I'm some sort of racist, I've been on several anti-racist marches, I've supported anti-racist causes. I've probably done more to stop racism than act stroppy on the internet.

And if I'm not mistaken. I believe you are a great fan of Doctor Who, Steven Fry etc.

All things that are quintessentially English.

I mean for ****s sake. My blood is almost 90% Irish, and I celebrate St. Georges. It's the land that I live in, I think we've produced some top notch comedy, sports, literature, music etc. Why cant I celebrate that?

Doctor Who and Stephen Fry are all things English?

Stephen's a mix of Austrian, Jewish and Hungarian.

I suppose he does, in a way, but I love him for the essence of Stephen, not his embodiment of our jovial, witty, intellectual and depressed Englishness.

Probably because some of you see the English as "those bastards that we had to fight to get independence."

Well, it's also intolerant to have the gall to fly the English flag on your property, in England.

Yah G, St Patty's Day is big here. Everyone pretends they're Irish and gets drunk. I'm almost positive the biggest parades are held here (and that the first ones were too). It's good for a laugh.
