Hey people. I bought a Gibson SG, i think three weeks ago and its pretty sweet. I changed the strings 2 weeks ago. Then i changed the strings 3 days ago because one of them snapped. Ok here is my problem. My Top E string is making this weird noise when i do open tremolo picking . It sounds like its hitting against a fret and it buzzes. I've never had this problem before. so what do i do. Is it the bridge saddle? Thanks.

Epic post. Wish I could say more, but I don't know much about the subconscious and other psychological stuff.

If the guitar is only 3 - 4 weeks old... youll need a full adjustment. Truss, intonation and action. Companies let as much slack off the neck for shipping purposes. Also make sure you set it up with the size strings your gonna always use.

see Its only on one string. I started moving the the saddle around. I almost got it to the very top and it doesn't buzz as much but i guess it is fret buzz so i should take it to a pro now? how much is this gonna cost me?

did you adjust the bridge or the saddle.

you need to lift the bridge. moving the saddle on a TOM just changes tuning along the board.

Jenny needs to sow her wild oats with random Gibsons and Taylors she picks up in bars before she settles down with a PRS.

not much... I do it myself but my local shop charges $25.00 including new strings.
