So some guy in the papers has a "1923 Gibson L1 or L2" for sale. I've never heard of this, and looked it up on ebay. there's one 1929 L2 reissue going for 3 grand. This man did not list a price.

So, I'm assuming this guitar is rare, and worth a lot of money due to it's age, apparently it comes with the original case. My question is, should I phone him to inquire, what price should I be expecting?
