I did a search and I didn't see anything about this.

Lately, when I play the higher frets on my basses, my amp has been distorting my signal. (I know it's my amp, unless both of my basses have the same problem.) Any ideas to stop it from happening?

I have one of these

Yeah I used to have the same problem with a Rumble 25. The warranty on it was still good so I just brought it to Long & McQuade and exchanged it with no cost.

Jazz: My volume on the amp is only set at about 2. And at the moment, my EQ is about at bass +4, mid+4, treble+4.

As for the volume on the bass, I'm always changing it, but I rarely turn it up to max.

W-C: I can't find my reciept for the warranty right now, but I'll start looking for it again in a few days.

If you have everything set to +4? Why not having everything at 0, and just raise the volume (i.e. do it!)?

I was looking at a used Warwick Vampyre LTD 5'er for about $200. I went home to grab my wallet and came back and some jerk with an epic beard got it already..

Everything distorts at high volumes. You're probably pushing your amp too hard.
