Well. In May I'm ordering a Ceriatone plexi and Avatar 2X12 with green backs. and thats all I have planed out.

But I plan on selling some OD's clean Boosts, Fuzzes and Rockman clones (In my sig) and make some money over the summer with another Job. what do you guys think I should get. new guitar maybe? I just don't know just Any ideas are apreciated (sorry Thats spelled wrong).

I plan on saving 1500-2000 by the end of August. So thats my budget. recommend Effects guitars a different amp (even though I'm still gonna get the Plexi) Cables anything.

btw I play classic rock/blues and some worship music and a little metal for good measure.

Did you read the top post? I said really recommend me just about anything. I'm thinking about buying a flanger and a phaser and possibly a pog and a whammy.

I asked because "anything" is really rather vague. Anyway. What about the attenuator? Is the Plexi the 50 watt version or a 18 watt (or whatever the smaller one is)?

Chorus and delay to get fantastic clean arpeggios?

I do need another delay and I'm thinking I'll get the small clone chorus. and its the 18w version so I don't think I'll need a attenuator.

Yeah, I don't think you need an attenuator with the 18w version (unless you want to crank it while other people are sleeping nearby).

So you've got:
Boss: ME-30
Tom Scholz: Rockman Soloist
Tom Scholz: rockman Sustainor
Tom Scholz: Rockman Chourus Delay
Boss: SD1

Hmm. I'm not sure what the Soloist does? It's a boost? Anyway, for a delay, if you want digital the Line 6 DL4 is a good one (also Boss DD6 I think? Or DD3, DD7 might be coming out soon). For analog, the EHX Deluxe/Stereo Memory Men are both good, albeit expensive. A cheaper alternative might be the MXR Carbon Copy. The Small Clone is a good pedal (from what I've heard), I'm thinking of getting one myself sometime in the distant future.

How about one of these http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ESP-Standard-Series-Eclipse-II?sku=516653
I love these things, the fisnsh is equall to or greater than Gibsons, they are built just as well if not better and really I think they are better guitars. I am going to pick one up some day, mabe even trade my RIC 620, (probably not) If I had the cash I would buy this one right now with the passive duncans http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ESP-Eclipse-II-Flame-Maple-Vintage-Honey-Burst-Electric-Guitar?sku=515957

I'm not much of an ESP person sorry.

but the Soloist is just a distortion box it's not even a pedal I use it for recording. the Boss ME-30 I sold. But I'm thinking about getting memory man or the DD7.

Hey how about a Rickenbacker 620/12, I have heard they had went up but after reading this post I went and checked went and saw the price I almost craped my pants. I bought mine at the 2005 for right at $1000 and change shipped, now they are double that. I am going to bless someone with this awesome guitar at a great price, becasue as long as I can can get more out of it what I paid for it I like to see it go. The only reason is I don't play it and hate that it just sits and gets no use, its way to cool and pretty to sit under the bed in its case. I love the guitar but hate that its head stock heavey, I am not comfortable when I play it becasue I move around too much. If your interested I might be willing to part with it, its in very good condition, only a little player rash on the back. let me know, Its this one http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Rickenbacker-62012-12String-Guitar?sku=513611

If you're going to get an LP, then save some cash and get a good LP copy, like Edwards or Tokai and upgrade the hell out of it (pickups, electronics, hardware).

Soup up your strat?
A new set of pickups (especially a good set) will bring your tone to life.
Maybe pay for a good setup, and maybe upgrade other stuff.
Or, get an LP or something.

I would suggest getting a THD Hot Plate & a $99 Crate Power Block power amp(I know everyone's going to say you don't need it, & that's correct. It's about what you WANT, & versatility in what you can do). You could have some real fun if you get Nik to install a variable line-out jack after the power stage of your amp (like Mojave does). You can then use your 18W plexi as a pre-amp (using the Hot Plate set to "load") running out of your line-out into the power amp. That way, you can crank your 18W wide open, & regulate the volume with the power amp/cab. You can also run a separate cab from the Hot Plate (set attenuation level to -4, -8 db or whatever instead of load), & run a wet/dry rig that sounds so full & rich you won't believe it's possible. All that for $350 (Hot Plate+Power Block) assuming you already have a cab, & will soon have 2.
BTW-The line-out feature is also very useful for recording your cranked plexi sound direct, or going direct to a PA for gigs. Every tube amp should have that.

well i second the EHX small clone. great little pedal. also how about a volume pedal for some swells to add some dramatic effect to the worship tunes you play. and the POG would be good if you dont have an organ to play along with the worship group as well. damn, such a fun little pedal.

or hmmm...an EQ? a little more tone shaping ability never hurt anyone.

as for a guitar i also second the PRS. those things are damn sexy and play like buttuh.

yea, since you say you have a LP already, definitely go with the PRS. thats my opinion though. go try both out and see what you like. at first i didnt like PRSs because the necks felt wide to me but now i really like em. but as always try before you buy. but you know that as i see you around the GG&A fourm enough.

oh yes I will definatly play before I buy lol. I've play a couple of PRS's and they All felt like they had really wide necks while every LP I've every played I've loved maybe thats why I'm leaning towards the LP. But I'll try em both out. the LP I have is alot like a tokai maybe I should just soup it up instead of buy a Gibby.

If have any questions about these rigs & effect placement, etc, pm me. I use one of these setups every day, & you get cranked amp tone at any volume with ZERO tone loss. I think an 18W plexi would be killer for one of these setups!
