hey!

Ok...I finaly got my SD Invader today.
It's so sweet
The guy that said that will put it in for me isn't at the shop today and another guy that is soooooooooooo lazy and he does nothing all day, said that he doesn't have time.
I need my guitar done by Sunday...
He said he would need about 3 days...
Cuz he has other guitars too.
And cuz I don't have lots of money he suggested me to cut the pickguard. (He would do that for me). I have SSS now.
But now I was wondering if I would be able to cuz my pickguard with a soldering iron?
what do you think?
Don't tell me to get a HSS pickguard cuz I'm gonna get it only if he will say that he will not be able to put it in by Sunday.
Thanks for help!

lmao

HBs dont go in SSS PGs

the bridge single is slanted so there will be a huge hole above the new pickup screw

and plus

single coils use bigger screws than HBs so it wont fit in the holes anyway

and plus

if you attemp to cut plastic with a soldering iron you will obliterate the tip

and plus

get a new PG, theyre what, $15?

in short: not possible, get a new PG

simple
Get off this damn forum and play your damn guitar.

ok...so I asked the guy if he has any PGs...
he has only strange ones...and they're about 50€+!
so...hmmm...no.
I'm gonna ask him if he has any ideas of what to do and if not then I will go to capital just for one PG -.-'

I would hate to think how long it would take to "cut" a plastic pickguard with a soldering iron. Not to mention the smell and it would look really bad. I use a dremel tool with a high speed cutter. If you dont have much in the way of tools be hard to do any sort of decent job. And if you have a solder iron to cut the pick guard maybe you could try using it for its intended purpose and solder the pickup leads yourself.
