My mom has a classical guitar from the Philippines and well I have no idea how to change the strings. I looked at some guides and they all show that the strings get tied onto the bridge, well heres the problem. The strings go into the guitar I think...

How do I change the strings?

Also, the 4th, 5th and 6th strings are steel and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd are nylon. Shouldnt they all be nylon?

No, the strings should be like that. some nylon some metal. I think you may have to start out from inside the guitar, and put the strings through and bring them outside to string it.

Take the string off the peg head. Then you should be able to figure out how to reverse however it was strung originally.

Gear:
Partscaster/Tele into a bunch of pedals, a Maz 18 head, and a Z Best cab.

They are nylon, they're just wound with metal. It could be a ball end that is fed from inside the soundhole.

alright so i clipped the 2 broken strings and yes, they go from the inside out.

So, how exactly do you get new strings through there?

Soundhole.

I never woulda guessed...

HOW do you get the string in the tiny holes through the sound hole?

Do i need to use a mirror or something so I can see the underside?

Feel for the holes with your hand. It's not that hard . . .

does it matter how I tie the knots at the end?

Not as long as they are large enough to block the hole and tight enough not to come undone.

Edit: I know you can buy ball end nylons, so maybe that'd be the best choice next time.
Sincerely, Chad.

^--- right, you want ball end nylons for this guitar. if you don't have them, return what you've got and get some ball end nylon strings instead.
