^this is a fisher price jack in the box. it traumatised me as a child. Rather than spring out really fast, this thing slowly emerges with its puppet-mouth open and makes this freaky squealing noise. sends shivvers down my spine thinking about that sound...

the point of this thread? post pics of toys that freaked you out when you were younger

oh god, i saw that on TV once, it was weird as hell. i haven't seen the toy but i can imagine it being really freaky.

the other thing that used to scare the hell out of me was this rocking horse that had an evil face, but it has been gone for years now and i doubt i'll be able to find pics of it. i used to have nightmares about it attacking me.

needless to say I had a happy childhood

I remember when i was about in first grade outside of school me and my friends used to play with these toy guns and knives that looked extremely realistic and used to pretend we were shooting eachother and we hid behind cars and stuff pretending we were in the matrix.

Furbies.
I remember seeing one in the store and begging my mom to get it for me. It was yellow with pastel spots (I still remember because the damn thing scarred me for life.). I took it home and all was well for a while...and then the batteries started to die down. My Furby was talking in this terrifying, low, monotone voice...I hid it in the closet until the batteries completely ran out, but I could still faintly hear it...

Looking back, those things were creepy anyway.

I've no picture, but I used to own this cloth green clown that my nan had given me, and it scared the living daylights out of me. It would sit on my shelf on the wall opposite my bed, and my God, I still remember lying there at night staring at it's smiling, blank face, convinced it was staring into my soul.
I don't know what happened to it in the end, but I remember my mother putting it in a black bag, and my relief that I wasn't going to look at it anymore. Come to think of it, if I saw that shit again I'd still freak.

And I loved my Furby. Mine was called Coco :3

There used to be a show on nickelodeon called Skeeter or something that was about a black kid puppet or something.

I used to have a lifesize doll of him, my parnts always put him on the edge of my bed before i went to sleep thinking he would comfort me...

Rule of thumb-

Big ****** doll + Middle of the night+ End of bed= not comfortable
#38
My furby malfunctioned and started talking in a really low, weird voice during the night. I shat myself.
