I was playing my guitar yesterday right after I changed my strings and I noticed that on the higher strings, if I play above the 8th fret, its always off. I could tell by the fact that the twelfth fret would sound lower than the actual string.

I have a Yamaha RGX112 (as depicted below)


I know what the problem is, I just have no idea how to fix it. I don't even know what intination is, its just my friend told me thats what was wrong with it. Help!

Example of intonation problem: 6th string being exactly E, 12 fret 6th string being Eb.

You would need to take a screwdriver and tighten the screw hanging off the bridge for that string.

Thats the problem. Just fixed it. Thanks man. It sounds great now
