gday,

I bought a 1988 marshall jcm 800 2204 a few monthes ago, its an unbelievable amp
the previous and only owner said he has only replaced one of the tubes, so that means the other one is still the original one that came out of the factory 20 years ago

I turn the amp on, the valves light up, i plug my guitar in, the amp melts my face off.
The amp works perfectly fine.

but im a bit unsure about the tubes? should i get them replaced? oh and what happens when a tubes time is up?

Thanks,
