Like the title says, what is the best overdrive/distortion pedal for a Pantera like distortion with a 120 watt tube amp. What pedal will send the distortion "over the top" all opinions welcome!

I know people here hate the Boss Metal Zone, but I would have to suggest it. It's got a wide variety of sounds and the distortion is great!

Seriously, they are great for the price. It's not just a pedal that can only pull off crushing distortion, it's also is great for just a little for classic rock and stuff.

Just a good overdrive and an eq will do it.

Typically if you have a 120 watt tube amp, the on-board distortion should be what you're using...

but if an overdrive is necessary, Maxon OD-808 would be my first choice.

If you're after a br00tal OD, you can't beat a Visual Sound Double Trouble.

you're probably not going to want to run a distortion pedal in front of a tube amp. i agree with the OD and EQ pedal.
