What is the oldest recording you have?

I downloaded the oldest known audio recording off some site. It is from 1860. I also have some old recordings from phonograph cylinders from the late 1800's and early 1900's of early jazz and ragtime and old time country music.

I have a recording of music written in the 14th century... Guillaume de Machaut Motets.

As far as popular music goes it would be either Elvis Presley or Johnny Cash

This thread isn't for how old the piece is, it is for how old the recording is.

Black Sabbath - Black Sabbath. Other than bands like Led Zeppelin, BOC, etc., I don't listen to much stuff older than 1970

Early '20s jazz, I think.

Possibly some blues, if any of it was recorded prior to the '20s. Dunno when any of my blues collection is from, so I can't say.

I used to have that one, but it was lost to computer issues.

Right now, I think it's some Robert Johnson.
