This is my fourth poem

IV. Humanist

How many must die
for the priests and their lies
how much blood must be shed to be free
are we so weak and blind
that by faith we're confined
to believe in what we can't see.

Common sense seems so odd
reason gives in to god
and we fear his eternal damnation
out of fright we are kind
hence, the blind lead the blind
but why submit to his holy conviction.

I am me for my sake
and though I do make mistakes
I accept the full load of my acts
nothing happens by fate
I'm free to love and to hate
I simply fail to believe without facts.

I am me for this earth
I am free since my birth
and I shall not accept their beliefs
for my sake I will be
only believe as I see
and for my fellow man I shall grieve.
I realized I was god when I prayed and saw that I was talking to myself.

I like it dude, especially the rhyme scheme, and it sends a powerful message too. It's a lot better than I could do. Did u post any of your other ones?

I've posted all the ones that I've written. This is actually my fourth one.
I realized I was god when I prayed and saw that I was talking to myself.
