So my strat copy has a very short whammy bar range. It moves very little and it is tough to move. It is a synchronized tremolo.

Is there anything I can do about this? I've heard you can remove some springs and it will work differently. I've also heard you can adjust the screws on it.

Any help is appreciated.

the strings on a basic tremolo bridge give the tension balance to the bridge so that the strings dont pull the bridge forwards.

so if you remove one then you lessen the tension, making it easier to move, but it has to be balanced or you're gonna hate your guitar.

the screws on the front of the bridge (one per string closest to the headstock on the bridge) can be tightened all the way down so that the bridge doesn't move at all if i remember correctly. so i guess loosening them makes it easier?

im not entirely sure!

but i hope that helped a bit

How would I make sure it's balanced?

Edit: and I can't really hate this guitar much more than i already do.
