My dad is going to new york next weekend, and will buy a guitar for my lil borther for a present, dollar is so weak now so the price is almost half of what it is in sweden

anyway, i got the job to find the best guitar in the 400-550 dollar range . Will buy it from guitar center on manhattan. Or some other guitar store in NY

He likes metallica the most and got a peavey bandit 112 amp, but a ****ty washburn guitar.

A ibanez would be good right? Any recomendations?

i have looked around a bit and probably going to choose a schecter c-1 blackjack for him? It seems kickass. Probalby going to buy one for myself also later on. 599 dollar is like 3500 sek and in sweden it cost more than 8000 sek

You shouldn't really buy a guitar as a surprise present for someone, unless you're confident it's exactly what they want. Still, I'm sure he'll be grateful...but all the same see if you can subtly find out what guitar he's most interested in. If you can't, the Schecter seems to be a very popular choice and will no doubt go down well.
