I'm writing some songs for a comedy duo and I have a song that is basically making fun of those 3 chord acoustic strumming songs with cheesy lyrics and annoying vocals. Here's a sample:

"Girl, I'm so sensitive
I can strum chords and sing,
And my lyrics are so charming"

These lines are intended to parody that style of singing (the image of the guy trying to pick up chicks by portraying that he's sensitive). The song would be sung in sarcasm.

My question is: are these lyrics too pretentious? There are many people who actually like those cheesy songs, and maybe the audience wouldn't get what the intention of the joke is. Imagine the same audience as Tenacious D or Flight of the Conchords. Thanks for the feedback, be as critical as you want (but constructive please).
