So lately, Ive been listening to some Raconteurs and White Stripes, as well as some Muse, and I really like both of those fuzz tones. Seeing as how Im getting a nice new amp, I thought it would be cool to get a fuzz pedal with it. After some research, Ive narrowed down some choices.

Danelectro French Toast Octave Distortion

I would like an octave effect in it, but its not necessary. And yes, I have heard of the ZVEX Fuzz Factory, as thats what Matt Bellamy uses, but its too expensive. So, if anyone has experiance with these pedals, advice, or other suggestions, please tell me. Thx in advance.

Maybe it was just the sound clips, but I dont really like it. I guess you could say it was too much.

muse uses a fuzz factory.

oh and check out the fulltone fuzzes, such as the soul bender, '69 and '70 fuzzes.

id suggest the fuzz factory tho if those are the tones you're looking for.

Well, a Big Muff will be great for Jack White tones. You could probably get close to Muse with it as well if you use put an EQ after it.

well considering you can get a used vexter fuzz factory for 130 or less, id say that no its not too much, also considering that one of his choices is 150.
