Its time to replace my Line 6 Spider II 75w. I'm looking for something tube, that can be extremely versatile. My band plays metal, so i'm thinking a 50w tube should do the trick for jamming/gigging. At home I play everything from blues to death metal. My price range is about $400-$700, what are some good reccomendations?

Well, since you're in a metal band, I would think getting a good metal tone is more important.
Randall RG50TC, or a Bugera if you can find one.

Used mesa mark III combo

Man, there is nothing i would love more than a mesa, price is kinda killin me here tho. If i can sell my line 6 it wont be so bad. I'm lookin at the Peavey Valveking 112. Would this be enough power (loudness) and with a tube screamer or something would it give me a decent metal tone?

Peavey VK 112 is NOT enough for death metal.
Randall RG50TC however has gain up the butt, which is why I got one

If by "clean" you mean "get a finger right up in there and do a good bit of spelunking" then i guess "at any given opportunity" is my answer.
