Now I'm out for a Les Paul. I have to down to two options, a Gibson Les Paul Studio, or a Epiphone Elitist Les Paul Standard Plus. Now the two things that I hear are
High End Epiphone>Gibson Studio, I've also heard the opposite. I have also heard that I'd need a Humbucker change for the Epi for it to be worth it. So what's the deal?

Well, I prefer the pickups in the gibson, and if you find a good studio it will be better than a elitist, but because of gibson's quality issues, the epiphone will be beter most of the time.

I have a studio, had it for about 3 years and I love it. Haven't played the Epiphone, but the Gibson does the job for me.

Can I be different and suggest an ESP LTD EC series guitar? I found them to have way better quality then the Gibson/Epiphone, and they're a lot more comfortable.

I don't really like the EC series.
