the mts has gain structure issues, it will hiss and destroy your tone at higher gain levels. Laney rocks get that one.

I haven't played the Laney, but have heard sound samples of it and it sounds incredible. But, I have played the MTS quite a few times, and it sounds awesome. BUT, my friend purchased one brand new from the box and the poweramp tubes were all blown. So he took it back and got another head new out the box and the circuit breaker(i think it was) in it was faulty and the head blew up.

So, if you are willing to risk the chances on the Carvin, it's a great sunding head, but i'd go for the Laney over it anyday.
