Marcus Miller stuff is good if you wanna start doing some slap and pop stuff. Theres a solo in RHCP's "Coffe Shop," and you should also check out some Coheed and Cambria and Mastodon songs. I was listening to "Hand of Stone" recently, and the bass in that seems like a decent challenge.

YAY! Try Good Times Bad Times by Zeppelin... there's 2 good lil' bass solos

w/o bass n drums, there wouldn't really be rock music.

Schecter is pronounced 'Shek-ter', right? I don't want to walk in and say, "Hey, can I try out that Sketcher?" and have the helper reply with "Wtf, we don't sell shoes!"

The starting solo in Sweet Child 'O Mine- Guns n Roses is really fun to play. Its not that hard but its so fun to play with some effects added especially.

I just looked into the subject myself a little deeper and Joe Sitriani's "Bass Solo" is awesome. Don't think I've nailed it quite yet in 10 mins but I'm going to try.

It's pretty complicated lol.

At least it's the bass, so nobody else will have noticed.

My God, Myung made a mistake? He was absolutely flawless when I saw him live.
