As I wade through the tabs, looking for songs, that I'd like to add to my repitoire. I find nothing but half finished, lame and cheesesy work publish in the guise of competency.

If your going through the time and trouble and gonna put your name on it then at the very least, DO THE WORK!

Here's the easy version to a completing chord/tab sheet music, that is in the same key, has the correct lyrics, and sounds orignal !

Start by opening up a new word document and title it with the artist name and song title (even a tabs short cut on ur desk top is being really efficient) Because your goint to cut and paste the finished tab on UG proudly!

Open your internet search engine. Go to lyricsplanet.com, sing365.com, getlyrics.com there is only a thousand possible choices to choose from. Find the lyrics and cut and paste into your document.

Now go into your document and double space each line!!!!!!DO IT!!!!!!! Because your going to finish the entire tab not just some lazy assed verse and chorus and list all the rest of the words, like most of the schmoes do on this site!
No! Your going to create a complete piece of sheet tab music!!

Go back to your search eng. open up You Tube. Search the artist and song name. Scroll down untill you find the version you want or like.

You now have your open, double spaced, lyrics document, ready to start putting in the music, and the artist singing the song on You Tube! Huh, what could be better?

For the hell of it open up Ultimate-guitar.com and find, if available, a version of the tab/chords of the same piece and compare while the artist is playing the song. Is it reasonably close to the original? Are there similur notes that sound clean to the original? If so, then use them, post them in your tab above the words in your artist song.

If you find a note that doesn't jive then pick strings and notes until you find a likeness, (remember that notes can be in different octives!!! High or lower, because they sound much different when played) jot it down (best to print the lyrics and scribe your notes on sheet paper, ya the old fashioned way)

Now compile all of the musical components. In the addendum add hints on playing characteristics that you hear, single notes that add contnuity to chord changes, beats and progressions, etc and when your alllllllllll done, print it again and READ IT!

Scribble out bad spots and work it through until your completely happy..... Wrong!!! until it's correct! Most of you are too happy with mediocrity.

Now you have a complete, clean, correct piece of sheet music. It doesn't have to be the original artist's sheet music to be correct. But it does have to be close enough for a voice over, to carry the notes!

Now punch with a three hole paper punch, and put in your music binder and take it with you to the beach for your hoe down or your gig or what ever your genre. Where you can whip it out and give the neophites all of the words to sing along with or you Gomba's to play along with and impress the chics enough to get laid !

P.S. Don't mention it, it was my pleasure!

There's only one thing we can do to thwart the plot of these albino shape-shifting lizard BITCHES!

You make some good points, but:

"For the hell of it open up Ultimate-guitar.com and find, if available, a version of the tab/chords of the same piece and compare while the artist is playing the song. Is it reasonably close to the original? Are there similur notes that sound clean to the original? If so, then use them, post them in your tab above the words in your artist song."

I'd say, if it's there (correctly) already, don't bother submitting it. If it's there and is incorrect, just post corrections...

I notice that you haven't submitted any songs yourself . . . . .
Maybe you’re afraid of all the backlash or condemnation or criticism that you'd get about your own iniquitously dreadful work - Or maybe you're just another one of those internet pussy’s that talks a big talk because it faceless - you are such a piece of Sh!t.

^ jeez, chillout buddy.
This thread had been dead since April.
Just because he hasn't contributed doesn't give you the right to get all up on your high e-horse and abuse him over it.

I certainly do since he wrote all kinds of sh!t about one of my
transcriptions (a whole paragraph in fact). Maybe you should
know the facts before you interject or meddle . . . And if "this
thread has been dead since April
" why are you chiming in?

The mods won't have an argument breaking out here, regardless of what he's done to you in the past. Accept the fact that people have their own opinions, as idiotic as they may be. And his chiming in is an attempt to restore order and set things straight. Don't get mad at him for that, considering he didn't bump it.
