I'm making a list of some famous, inspirational, just plain awesome quotes from songs. Care to help?

I already some stuff from RATM and KMFDM, I need a lot more if what I'm planning to do is to work.

drive,
keep calm,
these are only just illusions
and whatever has been said
it has now gone completely wrong
but keep your head, don't freak...
keep your eyes upon the road,
and just don't think about that room... oh holy fuck
oh holy fuck, oh holy fuck

Listen to the voice of the soldier
Down in the killing zone
Talking about the cost of living
And the price of bringing him home

They're already shipping the body bags
Down below the Rio Grande
But you can fight for democracy at home
And not in some foreign land

And the fate of the great United States
Is entwined in the fate of us all
And the incident at Chernobyl proves
The world we live in is very small

And the cities of Europe have burned before
And they may yet burn again
And if they do I hope you understand
That Washington will burn with them
Omaha will burn with them
Los Alamos will burn with them

look at some Iron Maiden. The new album has some good lyrics on it.

Far away from the land of our birth
We fly a flag in some foreign earth
We sailed away like our fathers before
These colours don't run from cold bloody war - These Colours Don't Run

"people try and put us down
talkin' about my generation
just because we get around
talkin' about my generation"

probably not accurate. "my generation" - the who.

+1 to the outro too "hey jude".

+1 some of Maiden's greatest lyrics are on the new album. I say this, because I never really rate Maiden in terms of lyrics, I often felt their lyrics were somewhat cheesy and just something to go along with the (awesome) music.

However, their latest attempt is great. I like the line from Brighter than a Thousand Suns:

"Shadow fingers rise above
Iron fingers stab the desert sky
Oh behold the power of man
until we're ready for the fall

Knocking heads together well
Raise a city, build a living hell
Join the race to suicide
Listen for the tolling of the bell"

Emancipate yourself from mental slavery
None but ourselves can free our minds
Have no fear for atomic energy
'Cause none of them can stop the time
How long shall they kill our prophets
While we stand aside and look
Some say it's just a part of it
We've got to fullfill the book

Won't you help to sing
These songs of freedom
'Cause all I ever had
Redemption Songs, Redemption Songs.
