you can wire the pickup or pickup selector switch directly to the jack socket.. but make sure everything (like the bridge and any shielding)is earthed to the jack socket as well
Shut up and play your guitar!

you could....but.... WHY? o0

many reasons. i did that just because i dont need a tone knob(i dont use tone), and i dont need a volume knob(cuz it is just cutting the signal, and besides, i have a volume pedal on my zoom 606).

You should at least put in a killswitch.

^ Word.

Something to kill the guitar at least.

I think you need some sort of volume control apart from your pedal. Just have one single volume control + pickup switch, i think this will benefit you more than no volume control at all.

On/Off switch, at LEAST. All Hail the Killswitch.

new thought...buy a key activated switch from maplin/radioshack and have an 'ignition' on your guitar
I can do no wrong, for I do not know what wrong is.

The Gear:
Squire 50th Stratocaster (Pimped Out)
Gibson SG Standard
Tuxedo Telecaster Terror (Own Build)
Nameless Les paul
Marshall MGFX 100 Combo

^ Thats a pretty cool idea actually Talk about novelty.

Something I always wanted to try was a 3-way switch to go from either off, full-on, to something like a 1/3 volume for that slightly dirty clean tone.

Figure a couple of resistors could probably get the job done, but never tried it.

Fuck those damn killswitches. Jesus.

+1

I do recommend not removing the volume knob. It's very useful, once you learn how to use it.

Get off this damn forum and play your damn guitar.

Take a look at how Esquires are wired. You could remove the capacitor from the 'rhythm' circuit to get a position with more or less half volume.
