i have seen a few players, namely john frusciante who play telecasters and have wahs on them but have never seen one for sale anywhere.

where can i get one of these from? can you retrofit a standard tele somehow?

1. Buy a wah pedal.

2. Gorilla glue it onto your guitar.

Win... Just make sure your guitar is a telecaster.

On the fender website, there's the "J5 Triple Tele® Deluxe:"
http://www.fender.com/products//search.php?partno=0130050306

EDIT: Unless you want three humbuckers on a tele body, I wouldn't recommend it. But it's got a trem! And it's actually not all that expensive...

You could always go with a stetsbar, I've heard that they're really good, reliable, and easy to put on, although I have no personal experience with them.

I'm not going to lie, I have never heard of this before.

Try a HotHand maybe...

Believe it or not guys, I have actually seen a guitar with a wah effect built into it. It was a long time ago so I forgot how it worked, but it was pretty awesome.

But looking at the context that it's in, I also think the TS meant a trem. In which case, I don't know. Maybe you should just stick to a strat.
Heads will roll. Throats will be slit. Blood will flow like springs of water.

hmm, this may sound like a dumb question, what is the difference between a whammy and a trem?

There really is no difference... they're practically the same thing.
That's if you're talking about whammy bars and trem bars.
The term trem is often referred to as a system... eg Floyd Rose trems. You wouldn't say Floyd Rose whammy, simply because a Floyd Rose is much more than just a whammy bar.

You could do the matt bellamy thing and use like a synth slider hooked up to a rack wah via midi. Although he uses a whammy pedal hook up. If you mean whammy I agree with the bigsby statement. Or you could rout a trem cavity into a normal tele (although the body is pretty thin) depending on how handy you are.

good luck.

Your most likely thinking of a whammy bar.

Though there are little pads that react to movement and make effects, ive seen those style of effects put on the guitars. I think it's a Kaoss (sp?) pad or mod or something completely forgot the name.

The above links are the only things that come to mind form what you describe.
