I'm thinking of my next guitar and i really want it to be either an explorer or flying v

preferred specs:
24 frets
Duncan/ DiMarzio neck and bridge humbuckers
good bridge and whammy bar w/ locking nut of course
head stock points up
#3
Epiphone Futura. its an Explorer Shape. it meets all requirements except for Pups. i think it has EMG's.

Jackson V - Rhoads models and a few others, not sure on the specs though
#4
ESP LTD Alexi Laiho, but then again it has 1 pickup.
Jackson RR3 or the RX
actually, wow that list is impossible to come by. custom shop for sure. i dont think that exist stock. the headstock pointing up would be a reverse headstock.
this may be it: http://espguitars.com/guitars_dan.html
but the freakin graphics look like ****. lmao. nobody buys this
#5
um you can definetly find a greater amount of choices if you buy one without the pickups you want and just switch them out or have a shop do it if u dont no how

I really wish I could say you're funny and cool, but that would be like saying Africa doesn't have a poverty problem.

I would have to say the best around that price are...

Jackson RR3. Or if you can find them used, the RR24 or RR5.

I also highly suggest the Edwards RV, right around $900

I've heard good thing's about the Dean Mustaine VMNT, too.
#8
Well, I can't think of anything that matches those specs exactly...

You could go for one of these. With a pickup change it could be an awesome guitar, although I'm not so sure about that LFR.
Heads will roll. Throats will be slit. Blood will flow like springs of water.

You CAN play anything with anything....but some guitars sound right for some things, and not for others. Single coils sound retarded for metal, though those who are apeshit about harpsichord probably beg to differ.

jackson ke-3. looks better than a standard explorer imo. it has the bolted on neck and is made in japan. still awsome tho. the ke-2 is the usa version neck through body high dollar model. you can get a ke-3 for under a grand.
epiphone gothic lp
ibanez arc-300

the Jackson KE3 is pretty good, but it is neck heavy. The new KE3's have good licensed floyd rose and they also have seymour duncans. great guitar. RR3 is about the same, just different shape and 22 frets.

Generally a custom guitar is going to be at least $2000, unless you go Carvin, which might be right up your alley.

So what? I wasted like 5 minutes watching DaddyTwoFoot's avatar.

Metalheads are the worst thing that ever happened to metal.

A warmoth guitar can cost anywhere from about 500 to about 1500. It's excellent quality though.
