I remember when I was a kid watching cartoons, not only loving the show but the songs to them as well. Then today for some reason I remembered some in particular, looked them up, and they are still catchy as hell. These are some I really liked. Anyone else take notice of great song writing within cartoons?

Doug had an awesome theme song.

Oh, and it's not a cartoon but I think anything old school Nickelodeon should apply. "Hey Sandy," used for The Adventures of Pete & Pete, is the greatest theme song in the world.

EDIT: yargh pbiggie just beat me to it.... JUST

i always liked pinky and the brain. it tells you the whole background of the characters, what they plan to do in the episode, and that they will eventually **** it up. really, all you need is the theme song.

I have no opinion on this matter.

"Dragon! Dragon! Rock the Dragon!
Dragon Ball Z!
Dragon! Dragon! Rock the Dragon!
Come get me!

(Dragon Ball Z!)

Dragon! Dragon! Rock the Dragon!
Dragon Ball Z!
Dragon! Dragon! Rock the Dragon!
Come get me!
Dragon! Dragon! Rock the Dragon!
Dragon Ball Z!
Dragon! Dragon! Rock the Dragon!
Come, a-come get me!

Dragon Ball Z!
Dragon Ball Z!"

Let's see Robert Plant, Bob Dylan, or Mikael Akerfeldt write something that good.

Wow. This thread had gotten me a good deal nostalgic. Basically, all of the songs people have posted Youtubes to, I like.

I also like Metalocalypse: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q3uyq7YK4XI

Or if you have some time, I like pretty much ANY 90s cartoons theme-and-all: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QmcKGcKW76M&feature=related

And X-Men: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s6KPt-QKDFU

It seems today that all you see is violence and movies and sex on TV.

But, Where are those good ol' fashion values on which we used to rely?

I've got the Ninja turtles and captian plant one on my phone.

I like the Angry Beavers one too.

+a bunch, not only is that show just ****ing great, so is that theme!

Rocko's Modern Life's theme was pretty neat, sounded B-52'ish.
