because the ones that ive considered:

Marshall MG100
Crate GLX2000
Vox ADVT100

seem to get a great amount of hatred...

ive got the pinch harmonics i wanted through my flextone, but still need more gain because they arent as sustaining/squeal-ish as id like them to be..so..

new amp?
or can some added distortion or overdrive pedal make them better?

Bad Technique.
I can hit pinch harmonics clean, without any gain at all. So... yeah, technique.

The Carvin Solid State amps have been getting quite alot of praise from magazines. They might be worth a look.

Technique is the right answer but boosting the highs on the EQ can help a little
Out here you've gotta know where your towel is!

i have the right technique...i just need a little added boost of gain..which i have on my Flexy but am using that already.

im thinking maybe a Boss mega disortion or super overdrive

I dunno how much those cost, but B-52's SS amps are pretty good. $500, too.

....But yes, sounds related to technique.

pinch harmonics have nothing to do with gain. you should be able to get them without any distortion at all. sounds like you're not doing it right. you don't need an amp or a distortion pedal at all.

i realize this and i have found it...and all the pros who do it say that more distortion & gain make them last longer and squeal higher...i can make it squeal, i just need it a bit longer
