After gathering info from this forum for a while I've narrowed my choices down to 4 guitars. The amp I want to get will lower my budget, so I will only have $200 for a new guitar. Here are my choices:

Dean ZX

SX STL50

SXGG2

Agile AL-2000

I play just about all types of music except country but I play metal the most. What are your opinions on these guitars?

I like the 2nd and the 3rd one. For looks toward metal, though, definetly the 1st and 3rd. I'm not exactly how the sound will differ, so try to find a shop around town or near your city that carries these guitars. They seem of fairly good value.

But what is your amp you want?

Either a MicroCube or Valvetronix but I'm leaning towards the Cube since it would be better for metal and it is bedroom size. I really want to know which of the explorer shaped guitars sounds better because I love the shape and it's comfortability. Unfortunately I can't try out some guitars because the shops are pretty far from me.
