Im installing a new version of mac os on my computer. Im using panther and upgrading to leopard........

Will i lose all my music from itunes by doing this. Basically do i need to go out and buy a couple of dvds to back up all my music and stuff?????

Always a good idea when upgrading an OS! Whether it's Linux, Mac or Windows.

External hard-drives are useful for this kind of stuff.
And what is more, there's been a bloody purple nose and some bloody purple clothes that were messing up the lobby floor. It's just apartment house rules so all you 'partment fools remember : one man's ceiling is another man's floor.

Not entirely true.
With Linux or Windows, if you keep your music on a separate partition or hdd, there's no problem with reinstalling Windows, or whatever.

Damn that'll take forever. I have 30 gigs of music as well as a load of other stuff (porn) that i dont wanna lose.... I need the new syste for my ipod to work and i want to have it all done before band practice..... in four hours and i have to hve breakfast shower get up etc etc

HA! Now you know how it feels!

But seriously, can't you just back it up on a external hard drive or ipod. Might as well go with the DVDs to be safe.
