I'm kind of intrigued by the idea of getting a coil tapped guitar, since I guess all it adds is versatility? And I'd rather not have to buy a second guitar as I'm on a budget. What would you guys think about having a guitar like this coil tapped?

D'oh, I meant active lol. And wow, I never knew EMG actually made split coil pickups. Guess ya learn something every day.

Just get the 81TW and 89, thats what I have in mine, and I love that feature, I find myself using the coil tapped 89 for cleans(actually sounds pretty good).

They are what the new C-1 Hellraisers come with.
