I have an ibanez Rg 1570 prestige and like the pickups apart from i hate the silly wolly neck pickup. i mostly play blues, hard rock and metal (but the bridge can take the metal)

What sort of stuff would youlook for in a neck pickup? Are they more for lead or something?

AN
ny suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Neck pickups in metal are used more for solos and leads, as they have a more ound, balanced suond compared to bidge pickups. I really dont know how much power your RG's bridge has, but i would go with a PAF Pro.

If you're going to change one pickup I'd be more inclined to change the bridge, that's the worst of the two...the V7 isn't all that bad but the V8 in the bridge is downright lame. If you can just change them both...I can't see past a pair of Dimarzio Breeds for the styles you've mentioned .
