How the bloke catches them at the first bounce.

It's really quite safe. Babies don't recognise the fact that falling is dangerous, and so don't tense their bodies, which is what you do when you do realise you could be hurt, meaning they land relaxed and comfortable.
The will to neither strive nor cry,
The power to feel with others give.
Calm, calm me more; nor let me die
Before I have begun to live.

-Matthew Arnold

Arguments are to be avoided; they are always vulgar and often convincing.

What the hell kind of tradition is that?

I got kicked out of a Mac store when me and my friends simultaneously put on meatspin on all of the computers in the store. Some eleven or twelve year old looking girls there freaked out.

It'd be awesome if it bounced all the way back up to the tower again...

So? Tradition is tradition. There haven't been any accidents and everything seems to go perfectly well. Don't meddle with their beliefs if they're not hurting anyone.

Holy ****. When I first started this, I thought it was some kind of sacrifice, and I didn't think they were catching the babies.

It looked like it was a bunch of people gathered around to watch the babies splatter on the concrete. That scared the crap out of me until they showed the net.

I wish my parents were smart/hippy/indian enough to have done that to me, maybe if that had happend to me i wouldant have not done bungee when i ahd the chance....

Ugh I watched a video of this on the news. My mother and I squealed as every single child was dropped.

People are so stupid sometimes. Children are so delicate.. We freak out when they just fall or if we hold them wrong. Yet dropping them off a tall building into a mattress is okay?
Alright.
