I didn't expect to lead you at all on this one. Thought it would be a clean sweep for you.

Well, regardless of the outcome, it seems like it's going to be very close. At least we know that we're both awesome.

Now we give it a week. And maybe now I'll focus on finals.

...Coincidence? I think not.
Grampa, I didn't like your phrasing. I'm just gonna come out and say it. It didn't flow very well, you put runs where there shouldn't have been any and took a "breath" in awkward places. The chord progression was good and I liked the little head at the beginning, but I didn't really dig the rest of it.

WhyLater, I actually liked yours a little better, phrasing-wise. My problem with yours was it had no direction. It didn't go anywhere for me and that lost it major points in my books. However, to me the song sounded really good and just needed that extra push to make it great.

In the end I had to go with Grampa, purely because it fit the criteria a little better.
Finally, at least someone left something! This round has made me realize how unfamiliar I am with the upper register of my bass; I was kinda fumbling around up there and I'm a bit more accustomed to guitar and uke in that range(or higher). Still though, no excuse. Thanks for the honesty.
I liked Whylaters better because the little chord Stumpy had in the background was really annoying.
If it wasn't there I probably would have voted for you.

I wouldn't call what we have here on the Bass Forum a mentality. It's more like the sharing part of an AA meeting.
