Well, I recently bought a guitar.... that's it lol. My friend says that i need some other things but he left to Galveston before he could give me the list. And tomorrow is my only free day for another week, so i need to know what other accessories are a must for an acoustic guitar. Like pics, strap.. etc.

it depends what your guitar is made of. if it's solid wood, get a humidifier.

humidifiers should only be used during the winter time when it's dryer though.

umm....
-picks
-strap
-tuner
-capo
-wiping cloth
-extra strings

Really, in my opinion, the only things you might actually need are picks and maybe a tuner, especially if you're new to music. Oh, and maybe strings too.

You only need a strap if you plan on playing while standing (obviously), all the capo does is change the key, so say you're playing a song, but it's too low for you, you just slap the capo on whatever fret, play the same stuff and it will be higher and more in your range. Your guitar is just a piece of wood, so really, you can wipe it with any soft cloth, if it even gets that dusty . . .
Not trying to bash captivate. That's a good list, but you don't necessarily need it all.

Agreed. I vote for picks, tuner, and new strings. That's all, for now.
Sincerely, Chad.

Actually, a capo is a pretty useful (and almost essential, at least for me) tool for playing in awkward keys (e.g. Bb, Eb, etc.). For instance, to emulate Bb, all you have to do is to put the capo just above the first fret, which will effectively turn the first fret into the nut, then play in A.
