how do you mute the bends where you just bend, but don't release it back

so its just like 12b14

are you supposed to use your pick to mute the string or your palm near the bridge?

Just release the string as you release the bend.
Your finger will mute it.

if it's one of those that go like this

---------------9-----------------
------12b14---12b14---12--- etc.

then you can use the finger that frets the 9 to stop the bent string from ringing. also pay attention to how your fingers let go of frets, it should be a very careful and slight lift, almost like you're guiding the string back to its normal position
