Hey everyone,
I just started to realy like Death Metal (All That Remains in particular) and I wanna learn something by them.
What is something that is not super super hard to play?
I am not the best guitarist, mind you, but I would like to try to improve by learning something that is not really in my usual playing style.
Thanks in Advance.

why do people waste so much energy on figuring what genre of metal a band is? who gives a damn, you like em or you dont. the air that i breathe isnt too difficult IMO but ive been playing for many moons. . . or maybe the weak willed. that songs really easy just fast i guess. . .

Oh, okay so if All That Remains isn't death metal then what is?
Slayer is death metal right? Metallica is Thrash, so is Anthrax.
I am kinda new to this kind of metal so I don't really know my stuff.

If you like them you might like the newer stuff by soilwork soil work used to be deathmetal but they sound like All that remains now. Anyway this calling is pretty easy.

Umm. Try learning Six or Whispers (I Hear You).
Both are 1 step down.

I learned this darkened heart. Pretty easy-ish, lots of alternate picking.

God u guys are fags with ur metal classification ****. I would probably recommend six though if ur working on all that remains. I just got into them about 6 months ago and of course the first song I learned was Six cuz i knew it from guitar hero haha. But yeah it's not too bad, just a quick rhythem but it's not too bad. If u can alt pick decently quick it wont be too hard, just practice that solo alot too and ull be able to get it down before too long.

Classifying metal is pretty much required, because the genres vary so much.

And All That Remains has some Melodic Death influences, and their first album could be called MDM, so I don't think it's much of a stretch.
