I seem to get a lot of feedback from my amp at band practice (so quite high volume) when its on the second stage of gain. I face my amp towards my drummer and so have my back to the back of my amp. I stand about 4/5 metres away from the amp i guess and the treble isnt particularly high. I dont want to turn down the gain really as i like it how it is for tone. So what can i do?

EDIT: I have also noticed that the fedback problem is MUCH worse on my Epiphone than my Fender. Is that something to do with the pickups
