I am looking for a new acoustic or acoustic electric and I have narrowed it down to an Epiphone Hummingbird or a Ovation Celebrity Deluxe? Help me decide? Im also open to suggestions on other guitars.

What are you specifically looking for in the guitar's sound and structure? What is your price range? You aren't giving us much to go on.
Sincerely, Chad.

Again . . . you haven't given us your price range or specific tone desired. Genre has nothing to do with it.
Sincerely, Chad.

The more I read around this forum, the more I dig Epiphone acoustics. I've played a few, including the hummingbird, and it's a nice guitar -- feels nice to me too, and a good price. A little overdone for my taste, but lots of people like the look.

Yeah it kinda does..........anyway just gimme anything that sounds good and is under 325. thanks.

Browse the "What acoustic under $300" thread, look into Yamaha guitars, make an educated decision for yourself.
Sincerely, Chad.

I would just get the Epiphone Hummingbird because I play one every Sunday and trust me, it sounds awesome for a guitar under 300$. Pure, nice sq and its looks are pretty awesome as well! I've honestly never played the Ovation, so unless it sounds better, I'd say go for the Hummingbird without a doubt

^ yah, right, between those two id say the ovation, but as some other guy stated look into the yamaha, or save up a little more like lets say until you have reached 400 and buy a second hand masterbilt on ebay those guitars are great for the money.

I say look in to the "What acoustic under $300" thread, I really recommend Yamaha FG700s, its cheap and sounds awesome. Almost all, if not all, of the guitars in that thread are excellent. So yeah, try some of them out at a music store and choose for yourself. Good luck :]

I dislike Ovations mostly because the rounded back slips off the leg too easily when playing seated...something for you to consider.

If you have a used gear store around you (like Music-go-Round, for instance) look into Seagull. They make some quality acoustics in the $300 - $350 range.

I play an Alvarez RD20SSB, and I think the final price was $321 US. It plays like a dream, though.

Sounds amazing, the neck is incredibly smooth, and it's easier to play leads on it than just about any other acoustic I've played, barring a few 2,000+ acoustics.

The sound is crisp and deep, very rich and warm, and it's very sturdy.

Hi, I'm looking for some fruit, I can't decide between apples and oranges.
Which one is better?
Thanks
