I changed all the hardware myself. I also modified the back cover to give the floyd more range. And i modified the floyd route to extend the range the other way. I installed an OFR, and some nice gotoh tuners. Opinions.

Nope it did not have the tuners then, and it did not have the straplocks. Those two things add a lot. The black tuners kinda killed the look. Now it IS finished though. THe only thing I need to do is get the pickups wired right. THe split coils aren't working right it seems. I did that myself too, so thats why.

Needs a Pickguard, like my RG.

I was thinkin of putting a perloid pickguard. But i dont want it to look like a JEM. I like JEMS but i did not want to copy it more than i did.

Who else votes for pickguard? What color?

Who votes against pickguard.

Cmmon people let me know. I may be convinced.

Holy moly. That's a sweet guitar. Don't put pickguard on it :p

Enjoy. A lil more eyecandy. I don't know why this guitar is not so recommended. All it needs is a bridge change and then its completely amazing. I already changed it and it is perfect.

It looks like a Jem as is, no need for a pickguard. My vote is nay.

That is one badass looking guitar man. What kind of humbuckers you got in it? Stock?

Dimarizio D-activator-X pick ups. These are a merge of the X2n and the regular D activators. But the sound is sweeter than either of the too which i like.

what's the sig on it say?

anyways, it looks great.. leave it as it is, no pickguard.

I really have no clue. It probably says JS since Joe Satriani signed it. I love the placement and color of the signature. It adds a nice touch.

I am not an Ibanez fan... so may be I'm a bit biased.....the upgrades sound nice, but I REALLY don't like those inlays....

beyond that... with the White and gold together, that is one classy looking axe.. I think this is the first time ever that I saw and Ibanez guitar and saw anything that I liked.

Nice Job!

What was is originally?

It was an rgt42dx. It was still real pretty, but the gotoh tuners I put on it look soo much better with their curves. And the Floyd Rose I like better than the edge III although it isnt as smooth.

http://ibanez.com/eg/guitar.aspx?m=RGT42DX thats it originally. I thought it was a worthy guitar to put money on. It already had my favorite neck (
wizard II), in a 5 piece build which is whats on the prestige. It's also one of the few mahogany Ibanezs. All it needed was an OFR and a pickup change to rival those that cost twice as much. But I changed everything to get the look which is important to me.

He was doing some clinics in guitar centers across the US recently. I went to the clinic in Union Square and I got to say it was awesome. I got it signed too. And it looks good.

How much do you guys think that guitar would be worth now.

OFR
24 frets
Mahogany
Neckthrough
Dimarzio Dactivator X pickups
Gotoh Precision Tuners,
Schaller Straplocks.
5 way switch.
Satch sig

Im just curious. I don't think I'll ever sell it, but If im making good money I might
