^^ is that a full tone bend? it only sounds close to the song when I do that (though I have an acoustic so its pretty hard to get it up that high). I've read in some places it means quarter tone when they don't specify but when I bend it a quarter it doesn't sound right

yes, it should be a full step bend. It should really say " 10b(12) " or something.

I keep bending as hard as I can and I get a little sharper than a half tone but nowhere close to a full. Plus I keep %#@#@% pincering the string above it and then when I release it goes "TWANG'! all loud.
