Here is my collection of 5150 settings..

Andy Sneap (Producer):
Lead Pre - 4
Low - 6
Mid - 2.5
High - 4.5

(This could probably use a boost too..)

Machine Head:
They boost the rhythm channel and use the lead as their clean channel.

---------------------------------------------

Boost simply means running an overdrive pedal to smooth out and tighten the sound.
I suggest something like a Maxon OD 808 or OD 9, a Krank Krankshaft, or some kind of 808 clone.
Level: Maxed
Tone: 11-12 o'clock
Gain: 9 o'clock to none

I don't care for a lot of the settings on there, these are my favorites.

If you need more, PM me lol. I have an absolute ton of them.

From a bunch of google's. Some are from HC, some are from Metal Tabs, I just save a lot of them in a text file.

LOL.

btw Machine Head use 5150's not 5150 II's so boosting the crunch channel might not be enough... (3 gain stages)
http://www.fjamods.com/5150VS5150II.html

You could always add gain from the Overdrive. The way I set it up is so it just boosts and doesn't add any gain at all, but you could if need be.

But you'd still have to turn the pre knob up because the crunch channel on the II/+ has alot less gain than the I/non-plus.
